Southern Illinois 83, Colorado State 71

Darren Brooks scored 20 points and host Southern Illinois shot 63 percent in the second half to pull away.

Kent Williams and Jermaine Dearman added 14 each for the Salukis.

Colorado State led 35-34 at the half after shooting 54 percent in the opening 20 minutes, but couldn't keep it up in the second half.

Southern made only 13 of its 36 first-half field-goal attempts but found the range and made 20 of 32 in the second half.
