In London, David Hare's The Blue Room had a nude scene performed by Nicole Kidman that inspired the immortal rave by one critic: "Theatrical Viagra!" In the FSU/Asolo Conservatory production, the cast includes Luciann Lajoie in the Kidman role as the Girl and Dean Anthony as the Aristocrat. The play opened Wednesday and continues through Dec. 15. Tickets: $19, $21. (941) 351-8000 or toll-free 1-800-361-8388 or www.asolo.org/fsu.

Hare adapted The Blue Room from Arthur Schnitzler's play, La Ronde, which was made into a 1950 film directed by Max Ophuls. Burns Court Cinema, in collaboration with the Asolo and the Sarasota Film Society, will screen the Ophuls classic at 5 p.m. Monday, followed by a panel discussion with David Newer, director of The Blue Room, playwright Jack Gilhooley and Sarasota Herald Tribune film critic George Meyer. Tickets: $4.50, $6.50. Call the Burns box office at (941) 955-3456.
