Patriots (6-5) at Lions (3-8)

OF NOTE: If there is a reason to have Thanksgiving dinner early today, this game is it. Granted, the Patriots have been up and down all season, but the Lions have been consistent. Consistently bad. They blew a golden chance to win Sunday against the Bears. At home, the Lions should put up a decent fight. The Patriots are coming off a victory against the Vikings and need this one to keep pace in the tight AFC East. The Lions, who have won two of the past three meetings with the Pats, will roar, but that's about it.

FRY'S PROMISE: Patriots 28, Lions 17.

Redskins (5-6) at Cowboys (4-7)

Still, this one should at least be competitive. Both are coming off big victories and match up well against each other. The Redskins are talking like they want to win this one badly, but the Cowboys defense likely will tame Steve Spurrier's usually pass-happy offense. The Cowboys must score at least three touchdowns to win. If rookie QB Chad Hutchinson continues to play well (310 yards Sunday), the Cowboys win.

FRY'S PROMISE: Redskins 26, Cowboys 19.
