Man robbed outside after-hours bar on SR 54

ZEPHYRHILLS -- A Zephyrhills man was accused of mugging another man at an after-hours bar on State Road 54.

According to a Pasco County Sheriff's report, Shaun Michael Ricks, 25, knocked a man to the ground and robbed him of money outside Cheers 54 bar after they had gone outside. Deputies said they caught Ricks about 1 a.m. after he crawled under a wooden privacy fence and hid under a tarp in back of a house on Coats Road.

Ricks denied having any money on him, but when the arresting deputy took him out of the patrol car at the county jail in Land O'Lakes, $145 was sitting on the floorboard.

Charged with strong arm robbery, Ricks was in jail on $20,000 bail.

Driver charged with leaving scene of crash

WESLEY CHAPEL -- A man was charged with illegally leaving the scene of a Friday afternoon accident on Interstate 75 that injured three people.

Terry Bartlett Adams, 51, of Keystone Heights, was driving one of three cars in a 3:56 p.m. accident in Pasco County that left one car overturned and another pinned against a guardrail.

The driver of the overturned car, whom the Florida Highway Patrol identified as Angelica Stienker, was trapped and seriously hurt.

The occupants of another car, Joshua and Sarah Tessendorf, told state troopers a green Jeep caused the accident but fled north on I-75.

A trooper in Hernando County stopped Bartlett's Jeep. He was jailed on $12,000 bail.
