HOUSTON -- Bernard King scored 26 as Texas A&M held off Louisiana State 79-77 in the final seconds Saturday in the Space City Classic.
LSU had a chance to tie it with three seconds left after the Aggies turned the ball over on an inbounds pass and King fouled Torris Bright in the lane.
But Bright missed the one-and-one, and LSU batted the ball out of bounds.
"Both teams were shooting the 3s, but we were getting a lot of good open shots," King said. "You like to play when it's like that."
LSU trailed by eight in the final minute before hitting two 3-pointers to move within 79-77.
