TITLE: Lizzie McGuire Xtreme Xmas

PREMIERE: 7:30 p.m. Friday on the Disney Channel

OVERVIEW: The episode begins as kids from Lizzie McGuire's (Hilary Duff) school donate gifts and give them to Santa (Steven Tyler of Aerosmith). Lizzie's school is having a Christmas parade and she decides to make a float. Her friends and family promise to help her. However, they take a liking to Santa's chief elf (veteran comedian Shelley Berman), who keeps them from helping Lizzie. They agree to help the elf fix some plumbing and Lizzie is unable to finish her float. Through a dream, Lizzie is reminded of the true meaning of Christmas, as she says, "Christmas is about doing good for others." In the end, Santa has a big gift waiting for Lizzie at the parade, where a special guest makes an appearance.

MY VIEW: I have watched many Lizzie McGuire episodes, and this one wasn't one of the best. One of Lizzie's best friends Miranda was never in the episode which is totally uncharacteristic of the show. I feel that this particular episode could have been better written and it wasn't up to my expectations. The ending was predictable I would recommend watching this episode, but don't expect it to be fabulous.

FAVORITE PART: Like all Disney shows, there was a happy ending when all is good again. My favorite part would be at the end when Lizzie realized what was really important about Christmas and she did something about it.

RATING: C
