Chocolate Yum-Yums

  • cookie photo1 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter (or half butter and half margarine)
  • 2 cups chopped nuts
  • 13/4 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Powdered sugar (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Melt chocolate chips with butter over low heat and mix in nuts. Transfer to bowl and add sugar, eggs, flour and vanilla, and mix well. Line small muffin tins with muffin cups and fill two-thirds with batter.

Bake for 25 minutes. Do not overbake; insides should still be soft. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Makes 4 dozen.
