    Let the celebration begin

With a change of the moon, the Islamic month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection and spiritual renewal, changes into Eid al-Fitr (the Festival of Fast-Breaking), a joyous three-day celebration. It is a time to give in charity and celebrate with family and friends. The celebrations begin with special prayers, followed visiting of family and friends and the sharing of special meals. An important aspect of Eid al-Fitr is the charity that Muslims are expected to extend to the needy. It is also a time of setting aside of grudges and ill feelings.
