WHAT HAPPENED: It was tear-jerking time in Thailand as Survivor producers scared up the one thing assured to bring our merged Chuay Jai tribemembers to tears: a loved one from back home. But in a Fear Factor-style twist, producers required family members to eat bugs to prove their devotion, with Navy swim instructor Helen Glover's husband Jim downing ants, a water bug, live grubs, a boiled tarantula and a boiled scorpion to win 24 hours on the island with his love. The next day, too-smug host Jeff Probst brought back the loved ones for a special immunity challenge, with big man Ted Rogers winning.

JAN'S WORST MOVE: In another episode light on Jan, she made no bad moves. But her former Chuay Gahn teammate Glover picked up the slack, admitting she trusts soft core porn star/used car salesman Brian Heidik -- who seems to have told her, Clay Jordan and Rogers separately that he wants to reach the game's final two slots with each of them.

JAN'S BEST MOVE: Again, not much Jan. But her son Jeff looked good gamely wolfing down squirmy invertebrates during the challenge.

BEST QUOTE: "I guess the losers have to spend two nights out here." -- Glover's less-than-impressed husband Jim, after seeing Chuay Jai's musty cave home.

WHO GOT THE BOOT: Survivor veterans knew all the foreshadowing about Jordan getting the boot was smoke and mirrors. Instead, the former Chuay Gahn tribe members ejected 61-year-old land broker Jake Billingsley, completing their wholly unexpected victory over the younger, more athletic Sook Jai. But what happens when this goody-goody tribal family figures out how Heidik's been playing them since day one?
