HUDSON -- A Hudson woman drove away from a traffic stop Monday night, led deputies on a brief chase that ended at her house, then urinated in a parking lot as authorities conducted sobriety tests on her, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.

Theresa Margaret Ingham, 48, of 12623 Pony Lane, was arrested and faces charges of DUI, fleeing to elude, driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest without violence and disorderly conduct. She was held at the county jail late Tuesday in lieu of $2,500 bail.

According to deputy reports, Ingham was driving east on State Road 52 just before 8 p.m. when she pulled up to a traffic crash. She stopped too close to a flare on the road and deputies asked her to back up, reports said.

A deputy noticed a strong smell of alcohol on her breath and told Ingham not to go anywhere, according to reports.

But Ingham pulled away and drove east on SR 52, deputies said. With deputies in pursuit, she drove a short distance to her house on Pony Lane. Deputies said Ingham was uncooperative and had to be pulled from her car.

The deputies then drove her to a nearby 7-Eleven convenience store to conduct an investigation. According to reports, Ingham pulled down her pants and urinated in the parking lot as customers looked on.

Breath tests, reports said, showed Ingham had a blood-alcohol level of 0.25 percent, more than three times the legal limit.
