SEMINOLE -- An additional event has been added to the lineup for the 2003 Seminole Pow Wow Festival.

"An Evening in Your Town" will be 7-9 p.m. March 6, one day earlier than the regular festival, at the Roskamp Auditorium at Freedom Square in Seminole and will include wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres and musical entertainment. Admission will be $5 in advance and $7 at the door. For ticket information, call Michele Abramo, 399-0587 or Carlynda Lilly, 593-5626.

"The Junior Woman's Club wanted to get involved, and I think it will give another dimension to the Pow Wow Festival," said Bob Matthews, Pow Wow chairman. "We wanted to do something like this before but didn't have the manpower."

The traditional part of the Pow Wow Festival, with carnival rides, food and live entertainment, is 6-11 p.m. March 7 and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. March 8. That Saturday's events will start with the annual parade, which begins at the Seminole Mall and goes north to the Seminole Recreation Center.

Food vendors, artists and craftspersons and parade participants are now being sought. Contacts are food vendors, Bob Tedford, 397-2307; arts and crafts, Jelene Mingo, 397-2249; and parade questions, John Papavera, 458-5758. Applications can be picked up at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. For additional information, call the center, 391-8345.
