Holiday boat parades

South Pasadena: Holiday Boat Parade -- Today. Begins at 6 p.m. at Great American Marine, 6810 Gulfport Blvd. The parade route includes Pasadena Isle, Habitat Extension Park, Harbourside, Bay Island, Causeway Village, and ends back at Great American Marine. Call 347-4171 for information.

Tierra Verde: Lighted Boat Parade -- Thursday. Begins at sundown at Marker 10, Pass-a-Grille Harbor. The parade will head north, passing through the Tierra Verde bridge, and then south along the east side of Tierra Verde. It returns the same way, passing through the bridge and continuing to Shell Island. The parade ends at Billy's Stone Crab, 1120 Pinellas Bayway. For information, call Billy Moore, 542-3900.

Indian Rocks Beach: 16th Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade -- Friday. Begins at 6:45 p.m. at Holiday Inn Harbourside, 401 Second St. The parade will head north under the Indian Rocks Bridge and finish at the north end of the city limits off Harbor Drive S. Madeira Beach: 36th Annual Holiday Illuminated Boat Parade -- Saturday. Begins at 6:30 p.m. behind City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive, and heads south toward John's Pass. Call 391-9951 for information.

Indian Shores and Redington Beaches: Christmas Boat Parade -- Sunday. Begins at 6 p.m. at the docks at the Pub, 20025 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores. The parade will head south down the Intracoastal Waterway, winding through the three Redingtons. Public viewing areas are the Estelle Harper Park behind the Indian Shores Town Hall and the Pinellas County Boat Launch at Park Boulevard. An awards ceremony will be held at the Estelle Harper Park pavilion following the parade and is open to all. Rain date is Dec. 16. St. Pete Beach: Holiday Boat Parade -- Sunday. Begins at 6 p.m. at Merry Pier, Eighth Avenue and Pass-a-Grille Way, and travels north through Pass-a-Grille Channel and Boca Ciega Bay to St. Pete Beach Yacht and Tennis Club, 94th Avenue and Blind Pass Road. Call 363-9245 for information.
