CITRUS PARK: Another office park is being proposed along a quarter-mile stretch of Gunn Highway that is quickly becoming a commercial corridor.
The owners of the 2.25-acre parcel at the northwest corner of Gunn and Cain Road, east of the Veterans Expressway, seek a rezoning that will allow for the development of two two-story office buildings with a total area of 19,500 square feet.
The property's current zoning allows for homes with a minimum lot size of one acre. But recent commercial development and the noise generated by traffic on Gunn Highway have made the property unsuitable for residential uses, the petition said. A Wal-Mart Supercenter, offices, a church and several restaurants are planned for Gunn Highway, from Anderson Road to the Veterans Expressway.
A zoning hearing master is scheduled to hear about the proposal March 17. (Petition 03-0276)
NORTHDALE: Jiffy Lube has withdrawn its petition requesting a larger sign at its 16207 N Dale Mabry Highway store. The company was asking for a variance that would allow an 80-square-foot sign, 10 feet high. (Petition 02-1320)
When and where:
