Woman charged with harboring a runaway

HUDSON -- After finding a 16-year-old girl hiding under a water bed, authorities arrested a woman Friday on charges of harboring a runaway.

Melissa A. Radivoy, 37, 12637 Skipper Lane, had been told earlier last week to call authorities if the girl showed up at her house, according to a Pasco sheriff's report.

The girl's mother told deputies on Friday that she believed her daughter was with Radivoy. While deputies searched her house, Radivoy insisted the girl wasn't there, the report states.

But deputies opened a door under Radivoy's bed and found the girl curled up in a storage compartment, hiding her face, according to the report.

Radivoy, who remained in the Pasco County jail in Land O'Lakes on Saturday in lieu of $250 bail, told deputies she wanted to give the girl a place to be for Christmas where people love her, the report states.

Bar argument results in armed man's arrest

NEW PORT RICHEY -- A 39-year-old man is in jail after authorities said he took a sawed-off shotgun into a bar and threatened to shoot a man.

Lonny Dean Lute, 2218 Chancery Road, Holiday, faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of a short-barrell shotgun.

According to a Pasco sheriff's report, Lute went to Sinabar Men's Niteclub, 4233 U.S. 19, about 9 p.m. Friday and got into an argument with the club's bouncer and manager. When the manager, Joseph Gause, confronted him, Lute pulled a black 16-gauge sawed-off shotgun from the waistband of his pants, the report states.

Lute pointed the gun at Gause's face and accused him of cheating him out of money, the report states. Lute, Gause and bouncer John King went out to the parking lot to discuss the matter while someone inside called 911.

Lute remained in the Pasco County jail in Land O'Lakes on Saturday in lieu of $20,000 bail.
