Tru -- Jay Presson Allen's Tru, starring Tom Frye, is at American Stage Jan. 10-19. $20-$30.

Opera -- USF Opera performs Ravel's L'enfant et les sortiliges and Seymour Barab's A Game of Chance at Eckerd College Jan. 15. $5.

Macbeth -- Verdi's Macbeth, with Todd Thomas in the title role, opens the Sarasota Opera season Feb. 8. $17-$82.
