Team pop trivia

This week's winner: Molly Merritt of St. Petersburg knew that the classic piece of American literature the late folk singer Phil Ochs set to music on his first album was The Bells by Edgar Allen Poe. (For those of you who answered The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes, Team Pop specified an American work. Noyes, mates, was British.)

This week's question: Team Pop mourns the loss of Joe Strummer of the Clash, who died this week of a heart attack. Fusing politics with punk rage, the Clash did much to foster racial harmony in merry old England in the late 1970s. The band often incorporated reggae beats and dub production into its music. In 1977, CBS pulled the single Complete Control from the band's debut album because it was controversial. The Clash went on to record it and several other tunes with a famed Jamaican producer. To enter your name in the random drawing for the Weekend T-shirt, tell us the name of the producer.
