Need a place to party New Year's? Here it is

A number of Citrus watering spots offer music, dancing, dining and even fireworks to celebrate the arrival of 2003.

New Year's parties are plentiful, so if you haven't made final plans yet, here is a rundown of some of the best, featuring live music, party favors and fireworks.

Rock Crusher Canyon, 275 S Rock Crusher Road, Crystal River, will have a New Year's Eve party with a blast of fireworks over the amphitheater as the midnight hour approaches. The Rock Crusher fete also includes a gourmet dinner, music by Razz Ma Tazz, a champagne toast, party favors and hats. Doors open at 7 p.m., cocktail hour is from 7 to 8, buffet is from 8:45 until 10 and music is from 8 until midnight. Call 795-1313.

The Port Hotel, 1610 SE Paradise Circle, Crystal River, will have a party featuring the electric blues of Keith Caton and the Accelerators, and cap it off with a fireworks display over Kings Bay at midnight. The party also includes a buffet dinner, with champagne toast and party favors. Admission is $125 a couple, with a hotel room going for an extra $55. Call 795-3111.

Haywire's Bar and Grill, 3891 N Lecanto Highway (County Road 491), Beverly Hills, will have a party with music by the DJ Connie T starting at 8 p.m. and a midnight buffet with a champagne toast. Admission is $15 Call 746-1144.

T.J. Michael's Restaurant and Lounge, 4335 U.S. 41 S, Inverness. Music by Strange Brew, playing classic rock music. Party favors, champagne toast and midnight buffet. Admission is $20 per person. Call 341-1200.

Cracker's Bar and Grill, Crystal River, will have a party featuring champagne toast at midnight, party favors and karaoke. Free admission Call 795-3999.

The Saloon Family Grill & Pub, 4828 U.S. 19 S, Homosassa will have a party with a surf and turf dinner, live music and comedy by Johnny Bee Goode and a champagne toast at midnight. Admission is $50 for a couple and $30 for a single. Call 628-6968.

Sleepy Hollow: 10333 E Gobbler Drive, Floral City. Lefty Dave, country music, performs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Special menu items include stone crab claws or prime rib for $9.95 or peel and eat shrimp for $8.95. No cover. 726-3242.
