SPIRIT OF DANCING: The Spirit of Citrus Ballroom Dancers holds dances on Saturday evenings at the Kellner Auditorium, Jewish Center in Beverly Hills Civic Circle. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with dancing until 10 p.m. Admission is $6 per person. A wide variety of ballroom dance music is played by DJs. Mini dance workshops are held at the above address on Wednesday evenings. Beginners at 7 p.m., intermediates at 8 p.m. and cost is $6 per person, per lesson. DANCERS: Florida Nature Coast Ballet will have auditions for its spring performance of Cinderella from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 11 for dancers age 8 to 11, and from 3 to 5 p.m. for ages 12 and up at Ronnie's Academy of Dance, 1598 N Meadowcrest Blvd., Crystal River. Performances will be April 4 and 5 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. Call 422-4059.

ROCK CRUSHER SHOW: Country music legends The Oak Ridge Boys will perform two shows Feb. 22 at Rock Crusher Canyon amphitheater, 275 S Rock Crusher Road, Crystal River. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for the first show and 5 p.m. for the second show. ROCKIN' RALLY: The annual "Rock 'n' Roll Rally to Remember" benefiting the Alzheimer's Family Organization, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Plantation Inn, U.S. 19 and Fort Island Trail, Crystal River. Event includes raffles, crafters, entertainment and food. All proceeds benefit individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their families in Citrus County. Call 628-6561.

MANATEE FEST: The Florida Manatee Festival will be Jan. 11 and 12 in downtown Crystal River. Events include the St. Petersburg Times Fine Arts Show, manatee education and boat tours, entertainment and childrens' activities, over 100 craft vendors and food. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 11 and noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 12. Admission is $2 by donation. Call 795-3149.

SYMPHONY: The Central Florida Symphony will present "Symphonic Rhapsody" a concert featuring works by Liszt, Ravel, Gershwin and Rachmaninoff, at 2 p.m Feb. 2 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. Featured performer is pianist Lance Coburn. Tickets are $17 for reserved seats, $15 for general admission and $10 for students. COMEDY: I Bet Your Life, a comedy, opens as dinner theater on Jan. 24 in the Hampton Room of Andre's restaurant, 509 E Hartford St., Citrus Hills. The play will run for one weekend only. BIG BAND: The 42nd Street Band, along with celebrity impersonators Rodi Alexander singing the hits of Barbra Streisand and Gary Edwards singing the songs of Bobby Darrin will perform at 2 and 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High. TRACTOR SHOW: The fourth annual Antique Tractor Show and Pull will be Jan. 24 to 26 at the Citrus County Fairgrounds. Advance three-day tickets are $23; two-day tickets are $15 and a one day ticket is $8 for adults. Childrens' (age 6 to 11) tickets are $10, $7 and $4. CFCC SHOW: Tickets are now on sale for dance troupe The Tamburitzans. Two performances by the group are scheduled in January as part of the 2002-2003 Central Florida Community College performing arts season. There is a waiting list for tickets for the Jan. 18 show at the CFCC Ocala campus Fine Arts auditorium. Tickets are still available for the 3 p.m. Jan. 19 show at Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. Group discounts are also available. Call 746-6721 ext. 1416.

COMIC RELIEF: A mystery comedy Knock 'em Dead, will be performed as a dinner theater Jan. 29 at Riverside Buffet House, 4152 U.S. 19 S in Homosassa Springs. Tickets are $30 in advance and $32 at the door and available at all Citrus County Chamber of Commerce offices, Playhouse 19 and Citrus County Art league box offices and all Citrus County SunTrust banks. Proceeds benefit Citrus 20/20 Inc., which is co-sponsoring the play with the Citrus County Art League, Gulf Islands Civic Theatre and Playhouse 19.
