By Times staff writer Man arrested on road rage chargesPORT RICHEY -- A Port Richey man was arrested Saturday morning after witnesses said he reached into a car and grabbed the driver by the neck during a "road rage" episode at U.S. 19 and Regency Park Boulevard. Zdzislew Groszek, 49, of 7322 Bent Oak Drive is facing a charge of burglary of a car involving battery, according to his arrest report. Pasco sheriff's reports said Anna Groszek and her husband were driving north on Regency Park Boulevard when Shane Trivette, 33, of 11105 Taft Drive pulled up behind them. Trivette planned to pass them because Groszek was driving slowly, he told deputies. According to reports, Mrs. Groszek then got out of her van at Regency Park and U.S. 19 and began yelling at Trivette. When Mrs. Groszek went back to her car, she told deputies, her husband then got out and went over to Trivette's car. Trivette and other witnesses said Zdzislew Groszek then reached into Trivette's car and grabbed him by the neck. Trivette told deputies that Groszek ran off when Trivette said he was calling 911. Trivette said he followed them to USA Flea Market near U.S. 19 and State Road 52, where deputies talked to everyone. Groszek was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail, where he was being held without bail. Tampa woman charged with fleeing deputiesLAND O'LAKES -- A Tampa woman drove over street signs and bailed out of a car before it crashed into a fence when Pasco sheriff's deputies tried to stop her for making an illegal left turn, according to a report. Tomeka Diaz, 18, told deputies after they found her hiding in a bush that the reason she didn't stop was because her passenger told her the car was stolen, the report said. Deputy Timothy Acosta wrote in the report that he went to stop Diaz after he saw her make the improper left turn at U.S. 41 and Carson Drive. She didn't stop when he turned on his emergency lights, plowing through street signs and a Big Lots parking lot, then into an open field. Diaz bailed out of the 1994 Nissan 240SX before it hit a fence around a day care center. After a half-hour search with a police dog, Diaz was found in a bush, the report said. Diaz was taken to the Land O'Lakes jail on charges of fleeing deputies, removing the vehicle identification number, using an unassigned license tag and making an improper left turn. She was released Sunday night on $1,000 bail.
