The county's first baby of 2002 kindles a Brooksville mother's dreams for an education, a better job and a better life.
His skill makes the practical attractive
For 16 years, a Masaryktown man has crafted roof vents that add beauty and save money. Although he does not advertise, he has taken orders from as far away as California and Canada.

No-bid contracts may get inquiry
State investigators may look into the county's dealings with a consultant. County attorneys say nothing is amiss, but other officials aren't so sure.

Don't allow leaders to escape responsibility
Editor: The newspaper coverage of the deal between Hernando County government and Hartman & Associates consultants has been quite dishonest. Your newspaper is allowing Commissioners Nancy Robinson and Chris Kingsley to wriggle out of responsibility for this corrupt mess.
