Events at D-Day museum rekindle pride, patriotism
Editor's note: In early December, Dunnellon resident B.J. Oram, a U.S. Navy veteran, went with his wife to New Orleans, where they visited the National D-Day Museum and participated in a weeklong series of events associated with the opening of the museum's newest exhibit, "The D-Day Invasions in the Pacific." Oram participated in the invasions at Normandy, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Here are some of his observations about the trip to New Orleans.
