Keep copies of those medical bills
I had four skin cancers removed in March. In May, I received a bill for $89.75 from Quest Diagnostics and a request for a copy of my BlueCross BlueShield card. I believe the bill represented the balance after Quest had collected from Medicare; I no longer have a copy of it, as I sent it off with my check and the BCBS information.
