Lykes squabble wraps up in secrecy
TAMPA -- The rare public fracas between members of the Lykes family is over. And, true to their traditionally secretive form, members of the prominent family aren't sharing their truce terms.

ST. PETERSBURG -- Chief executive Tim Main's message at Jabil Circuit's annual meeting Thursday could be summed up in one phrase: consider the context.

Tour bookings pick up, but not for this year
ST. PETERSBURG -- A cautious "business is picking up" was the most frequently heard phrase Thursday at Florida Huddle, an annual industry trade show that drew to Tropicana Field 50 tour packagers who account for a third of the state's leisure travel business.

GENDER WAGE GAP GROWS: The wage gap between female managers and their male counterparts was even greater in 2000 than it had been five years earlier, the General Accounting Office found. Full-time female managers earned less than male managers in all 10 industries studied in 1995 and 2000. In seven fields, the earnings gap grew during the five-year period.
