TAMPA -- Trouble in Tahiti is an opera for collectors, the kind that is nice to have seen and filed away in the memory book. At less than an hour, it's not one of Leonard Bernstein's major works, yet its cross-pollination of opera and musical comedy reflects an abiding concern of the great American conductor/composer who straddled classical and pop culture like nobody else.
