TAMPA -- Spurred by problems at the Veterans Village homeless shelter in Tampa, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has adopted a new policy requiring beefed-up inspections of similar facilities nationwide.
USF cleared in ouster of black doctor
TAMPA -- A federal jury decided Thursday that the University of South Florida did not discriminate against a black doctor when officials removed him from a surgical residency program. The eight white jurors deliberated for almost four hours before reaching the decision in Jean-Marc Loubeau's case, which began Feb. 11.
