CARPENTER, VIRGINIA, 88, of Inverness, died Tuesday (April 23, 2002) at Mariner Health Care of Inverness. Born in Charleston, W.Va., she came here in 1974 from Eustis. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God of Inverness. Survivors include a granddaughter, Jessica, Beverly Hills; five grandsons, Greg, Cross Lanes, W.Va., Tommy, Grand Island, Joey, Orlando, Donnie and Joseph, both of Beverly Hills; and three great-grandchildren. LOE, ROBERT EUGENE, 71, of Homosassa, died Tuesday (April 23, 2002) at Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa. He came here 10 years ago from his native Columbia City, Ind. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Masonic Lodge, life member Scottish Rite and VFW, all of Columbia City. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Norma J.; two sons, Mark J., Ocala, and James E., Kahului, Hawaii; three daughters, Wanda L. BUHINICEK, GEORGE S., 76, of Spring Hill, died Tuesday (April 23, 2002) at Evergreen Woods Health Center in Spring Hill. Born in Detroit, he came here 13 years ago from Livonia, Mich. He was an engineer in the automotive industry and a World War II veteran. He was Catholic. Survivors include his wife, Laura; three sons, Jeff, Zimmerman, Minn., Scott, Spring Hill, and David, Belleville, Mich.; a daughter, Jennifer Schock Buhinicek, Chelsea, Mich.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. CHESLEY, RICHARD CARLETON, 63, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Brooksville. Born in Arlington, Mass., he came here six years ago from Annandale, Va. He was a retired computer network software troubleshooter. He was employed by Eastman Kodak Co. for 20 years. He helped to design and invent the Kodak Disc Camera. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 521. Survivors include his son, Richard E., Lakeland; a daughter, Jeanne Peak, Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Judy Rothenbecker, Spring Hill, and Arletta, Hacker Valley, W.Va.; and three grandchildren. KINCADE, ODIS, 77, of Brooksville, died Tuesday (April 23, 2002) at Brooksville Regional Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of her native Brooksville and a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church. ROWLEY, LYLE L., 71, of Brooksville, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Hernando-Pasco Hospice in Brooksville. Born in Howell, Mich., he came here three years ago from South Bend, Ind. He was a school bus driver in Michigan and with the Hernando County schools. He was also a locksmith and a Navy veteran. He was Protestant and attended Brooksville Wesleyan Church. BIRON, ELAINE DIANE, 59, Goffstown, N.H., a seasonal resident of Tampa, died Wednesday (April 17, 2002) at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Cambridge, Mass., she lived between Goffstown, N.H., and Tampa for several years. She was a quality inspector for electronics. DEAN, DAVID, 19, of Plant City, died Friday (April 19, 2002). Born in Tampa, he was a native and a lifelong resident of the Tampa area. He was a retail sales associate and a 2001 graduate of Plant City High School. BARRATT, HARLAN A., 93, of New Port Richey, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Community Hospital of New Port Richey. He came here 28 years ago from his native Wilmington, Del. He was a retired engineer in the chemical manufacturing business. He was past master of F&AM Lodge 27 and scout master with Boy Scout Troop 19, both in Wilmington. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church of New Port Richey. BOKSA, HELEN, 84, of New Port Richey, died Thursday (April 25, 2002) at home. Born in Minneapolis, she came in 1978 from Des Plaines, Ill. She was a nurse's assistant and volunteered for many years at Hospice of Pasco and North Bay Medical Center. She was a member of the Franciscan Third Order of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church and member of its Rosary Makers group. WAGNER, WILLIAM L., 84, of New Port Richey, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at home. He came here 26 years ago from his native Akron, Ohio. He was a retired tire builder with Firestone with 30 years of service and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Holiday Moose Lodge, Akron VFW Post, Seven Springs Golf & Country Club and Joyful Spirit Lutheran Church. He worked as a maintenance technician/porter for Countryside Lanes. He was a youth bowling instructor and member of the boards of the Traveling Turtles Club and the Friday Night Countryside Mixers. He bowled in five leagues and won several National Amateur Bowlers Association (NABI) tournaments. He worked as an insurance salesman. He was a member and master cantor of Holy Ascension Hellenic Orthodox Church, Clearwater, and AHEPA. Survivors include a son, Nikos D., and a daughter, Zoi D. - MANNING, PATRICK JAMES JR. "RICK," 54, of Largo, died Monday (April 22, 2002) at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came here in 1990 from Albany, N.Y. He was a professional photographer and a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a volunteer for Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. - MILLIGAN, G. MARSHALL, 91, of Largo, died Wednesday (April 24, 2002) at Sabal Palms Health Care Center, Largo. He was born in Lewis, Del., and came here in 1976 from New Jersey. He was an electronic engineer as a civilian employee at a Navy submarine base in New London, Conn. He retired in 1965 as branch head of the Electromagnetic Environment and Optical Systems Division of the Federal Bureau of Ships. He received a director's award for scientific achievement. He was a member of Anona United Methodist Church of Largo, the Anona Sanctuary Choir, the United Methodist Men, the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, Star Masonic Lodge 78, Largo, Scottish Rite Valley of Tampa and the American Physicist Society. He was a mechanic for Young's Trucking Co. and was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd and the Elks and Moose lodges. - BARRETT, EDNA MAE, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Monday (April 22, 2002) at home. Born in Richford, N.Y., she came to Pinellas County in 1979 from Marathon, N.Y. She was a child care provider for foster children, a receptionist in a law firm, a server at a restaurant and a retail sales clerk. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Cross, where she was in charge of the Wednesday dinners and the sewing circle.
