After a disagreement between horse owners and track officials caused the boycott of some simulcast outlets, which forced reduced race purses, Tampa Bay Downs got back to full strength by mid-March and enjoyed perhaps its best season.

The crowd hushed, then screamed as the 47.04-pound kingfish came out of the bag and was weighed at the 11th Annual Suncoast Kingfish Classic Tournament over the weekend.
