Resident conductor handles romantic music deftly
TAMPA -- One week away from making his final appearance as resident conductor of the Florida Orchestra, Thomas Wilkins gave his audience Friday evening a sampling of mostly romantic works by Liszt and Honegger and the featured selection, Schumann's Rhenish Symphony. Wilkins masterfully led the orchestra through the program's wide-ranging moods and tempos.
