School uniforms
Once the realm of private schools, uniforms or strict dress codes have become commonplace at the county's public schools. This year, eight of Hernando's 17 schools will require uniforms or a very strict code of dress.

School bus routes and pickup times are available online at the Web site of the Hernando County School Board or through a link to that site on the St. Petersburg Times Web site.
