MALDEN MILLS PLANS COMEBACK: Malden Mills, the company made famous by its CEO's decision not to lay off workers after a 1995 fire, said it will file a reorganization plan that will let it emerge from bankruptcy protection. The Lawrence, Mass., maker of Polartec fleece said it would file the plan by month-end. Chief executive Aaron Feuerstein kept paying employees after fire destroyed the factory, making him a hero among workers. But insurance covered only three-quarters of the $400-million in rebuilding costs and the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November.
