Former Tyco International Ltd. chief executive Dennis Kozlowski indulged his lavish tastes -- including art, furniture and a $6,000 shower curtain for his New York apartment -- with millions in company money, and much of it was not reported to shareholders, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press.

BUSH RAILS AGAINST CORPORATE FRAUD: President Bush renewed his pledge to fight corporate scandals like the one at WorldCom's Mississippi headquarters. "There will be no more easy money, just hard time," he told an audience in Jackson, Miss., that included a laid-off WorldCom employee. Bush said he understands people's anger at companies that "have betrayed the trust of their employees and shareholders alike. Here in Mississippi, you know what I'm talking about." Bush also renewed his call for steps to protect pensions. He was in the state to raise money for the its Republican Party and congressman Chip Pickering's campaign.
