Solutions: Repeat problems could be hardware trouble
Q. I am going crazy with this problem. The computer froze and I had to reboot by turning it off because Ctrl-Alt-Del would not work. Windows started with 640 by 480 resolution and 16 colors. It would not allow me to change to a higher resolution or color. I had no sound. I rebooted; same problem. Norton found no virus. Ran ScanDisk, and no problems or errors were found. System Restore will not work. I have reloaded Windows Me with no help. I formatted the drive and reinstalled Windows Me, which worked for a short time, then went back to the same problem.
