'Ultimate chopper' takes the long route to customer
The beginning of July, I saw a demonstration of the ultimate chopper on TV. The cost was $74.85, including shipping. I called and ordered one, giving my bank account check number for direct withdrawal. Shipping was to be seven to 14 days after the order date. The end of July, I got my bank statement. The money was withdrawn July 8 by Sylmark Inc., but I didn't have the chopper. I started calling the 800 number, and each time I was instructed to call customer service, which was not a toll-free call. I was told each time that the item had been shipped and I should wait seven to 14 days. On Sept. 16, the woman I spoke to said she would personally see to it that my chopper was sent.
