Pinellas man dies in late-night crash
GULFPORT -- A 37-year-old St. Petersburg man was killed Monday night after he lost control of his car and crashed into a utility pole.

Navy Airman Jesse E. Blankenship, son of Debbie A. Beck of Largo and John H. Blankenship of Edgewater, Md., recently departed for assignment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk, permanently deployed in Yokosuka, Japan. Blankenship is a 1999 graduate of Largo High School and joined the Navy in October 2001.
