Conductor -- Peter Oundjian conducts the Florida Orchestra in Debussy, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff Jan. 10-12. $20-$42.

Tru -- Jay Presson Allen's Tru, starring Tom Frye, is at American Stage Jan. 10-19. $20-$30.

Opera -- USF Opera performs Ravel's L'enfant et les sortiliges and Seymour Barab's A Game of Chance at Eckerd College Jan. 15. $5.

Carreras -- Tenor Jose Carreras has a recital Jan. 21 at Ruth Eckerd Hall. $69-$89.

Shakespeare -- On Jan. 21, Aquila Theatre Company performs A Midsummer Night's Dream at Mahaffey Theater. $21, $25.

Mozart -- Joseph Kalichstein is the soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 17 with the Jerusalem Symphony Jan. 22 at Van Wezel Hall. $50-$58.

Octet -- An octet by Mark Sforzini is premiered by the Florida Orchestra Chamber Players Jan. 23 at the Palladium. $5-$10.

Satchmo -- The cabaret show Satchmo -- The Life and Times of Louis Armstrong runs Jan. 28-April 19 in the Jaeb Theater of Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. $26.60-$29.50.

Macbeth -- Verdi's Macbeth, with Todd Thomas in the title role, opens the Sarasota Opera season Feb. 8. $17-$82.
