CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Kent Williams scored 13 of his game-high 17 in the second half, and the Salukis held the Bulldogs scoreless for the first 8:17 of the game to coast to their 18th straight home win.

Southern Illinois used a halfcourt man-to-man defense to force seven turnovers and six missed shots as it built a 14-0 lead with 12:25 left in the first half. Drake scored when Greg Danielson hit a layup with 11:43 left.

SIU took its biggest lead at 57-39 when Darren Brooks hit two free throws with 10:32 remaining.
