U.S. Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite, R-Brooksville, opened her main district office in the Hernando County Courthouse last week and plans to open a Dade City office this week.

To contact Brown-Waite, send mail to, or visit, her Hernando County office at 20 N. Main St., Room 200, Brooksville, FL, 34601. The phone number, which will be activated Tuesday, is 799-8354.

The east Pasco County office is at 38008 Meridian Ave., Suite A, Dade City, FL, 33525. That office does not yet have phone service. Brown-Waite also will be setting up a toll-free number, and is considering office space in other parts of the district.

District staff members include Janis Laxton, who will manage the Brooksville office, caseworkers Martha Marshall and Mary Oliver, and field representative Joyce Valentino.

To reach Brown-Waite in Washington, her mailing address is 1516 Longworth House Office Building, Washington, D.C., 20515. The phone number is (202) 225-1002.

Her office manager and scheduler is Pete Meachum, the legislative correspondent is Robert Honold, and the staff assistant is Sara Lovern. Other staff members will be hired after Brown-Waite learns her committee assignments, chief of staff Brian Walsh said.

The two state senators who have taken over portions of Brown-Waite's former Senate district have established main offices, as well.

State Sen. Paula Dockery, R-Lakeland, has her Tallahassee office in the Senate Office Building, Room 326, 404 S Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL, 32399. The phone number is (850) 487-5040.

The mailing address for her district office is P.O. Drawer 2395, Lakeland, FL, 33806. The phone numbers are (863) 413-2900 or toll free 1-866-248-6487.

Dockery had requested funding to open an office in the Hernando County Courthouse, but was turned down by the Senate president. She is looking into the possibility of a staff member having office hours in Brooksville once a month, legislative assistant Kathy Riggs said.

State Sen. Mike Fasano, R-Port Richey, has his Tallahassee office in Senate Office Building, Room 310, 404 S Monroe St., Tallahassee, FL, 32399. The phone number is (850) 487-5062.

His district office is at 8217 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey, FL, 34653. The phone numbers are (727) 848-5885 and toll free 1-800-948-5885.

Fasano has said he wants to set up an office in Spring Hill, but has not yet done so.
