Pinellas County's new Connection Centers open Saturday. Employee advocates will address neighbors' questions about county government or typical problems such as stormwater concerns, code enforcement, land use, traffic and public safety, and will provide information about county parks.

The county's expanded outreach also includes the Government on the Go bus, where citizens can search county databases, reserve a park shelter, pay their utilities bill, register to vote, and check on hurricane evacuation levels.

The Connection Centers' open houses will be 10 a.m. to noon. Regular hours will begin Monday. Call 464-8210 until Jan. 13.

Residents south of Clearwater and east of 66th Street should contact Frank Bowman, manager at the Mid-County Connection Center, Airport Business Center, 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., No. 704, or call him at 453-7394.

Residents south of Clearwater and west of 66th Street should call Jane Gillespie, manager of the South County Connection Center, South Cross Bayou Water Reclamation Center, 5900 74th St. N, or call her at 582-7014.
