BROOKSVILLE -- A Bushnell woman died and two teenagers were injured Friday night after their car went out of control and rolled over once on State Road 50, a few miles east of Brooksville.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident occurred just west of State Road 50's intersection with Spring Lake Highway about 11:30 p.m. No other cars were involved.
Mary Jane Oneal, 48, was killed. Tina Lee Oneal, 18, and Jessie Oneal, 13, were injured. No information on their conditions was available.
The Highway Patrol said all three lived at the same address, but their relationship could not be confirmed Saturday.
The patrol said Tina Lee Oneal was driving a 1993 Mazda east on State Road 50 when the car moved onto the right shoulder. She apparently overcompensated for the mistake, and the car crossed sideways back into the road and rolled over in the median. No one was wearing seat belts, and the two passengers were thrown from the car.
Alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said, but criminal charges are still possible.
