ST. LEO -- Town commissioners returned Janis Klingle to the position of mayor Monday for her fourth consecutive one-year term.
Klingle, 71, was named mayor in 1999 and has held the post since. In St. Leo, commissioners annually select a mayor from within their own ranks.
The vote was 4-1, with Commissioner Richard Christmas objecting.
Commissioners also named Brother James Hallett, 58, to the position of mayor pro tem. Hallett joined the commission in 2000.
