Cruise wins suit against porn starCompiled from Times wires© St. Petersburg Times published January 17, 2003 Tom Cruise has won a $10-million judgment in a 2001 lawsuit against a gay porn star who claimed he had a homosexual encounter with the actor, ABC News reports. A Los Angeles judge entered the default judgment in December after defendant Chad Slater admitted his story was false and said he would not actively defend himself against the lawsuit, Cruise's attorney said. Slater could not be reached for comment. Singer wants JFK Jr. movie pulledJackson Browne is demanding that the TBS Superstation not rebroadcast America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story until scenes are deleted that the rock star says defame him. The movie, which premiered Sunday, shows Kennedy rescuing Daryl Hannah after Browne allegedly beat her up. The actor is the former girlfriend of both Browne, 54, and Kennedy, who died in a plane crash in 1999 at 38. "Mr. Browne has never assaulted Daryl Hannah," the singer-songwriter's publicist, Michael Jensen, said. "Ms. Hannah never filed a police report claiming such an assault and Mr. Browne was never arrested for or charged with such an assault." Gibb autopsy releasedBee Gees member Maurice Gibb died because of a condition that restricted blood flow to his bowel, an autopsy released Thursday showed. His intestines were twisted, according to the report by the Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner's Office. Gibb, 53, died Sunday in Miami Beach.
