Motorcyclist killed on parkway is identified

TAMPA -- Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who was killed in an accident on the Courtney Campbell Parkway Sunday night.

Police Monday said Levias Dealexi Barnes, 31, of Valrico was heading east on the causeway on a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle when the accident occurred at about 7 p.m. Sunday.

Barnes rear-ended a car making a U-turn, was thrown from his motorcycle and was hit by other cars, according to reports.

The accident temporarily shut down several lanes of the highway.
