ST. LEO -- Saint Leo University has hired Randall Bowden, a professor specializing in management and business education, as its new associate dean of the school of continuing education.
Bowden will work with the school's dean, David Persky, to oversee programs at the university's 14 continuing education centers in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia and Texas. The centers offer evening and weekend classes convenient to adults who are balancing daytime jobs and family lives with course work.
Bowden last taught at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, where he was an assistant professor of management. Before that, he led the school of professional studies at Colorado Christian University.
He earned his bachelor's degree in biblical studies from Colorado Christian College and his master's degree in communication from the University of Colorado. He earned his doctorate in higher education administration from the University of Denver.
Saint Leo appointed him to the associate dean post Jan. 16.
