A diehard Bucs fan, Carolyn Bricklemyer, a member of the Hillsborough County School Board, will head to San Diego on Friday with her husband, Tampa real estate attorney Keith Bricklemyer.
They received tickets as part of the lottery for season-ticket holders. Bricklemyer could hardly contain her excitement between School Board meetings Tuesday, telling friends and colleagues about her tickets and saying, "Go ahead, just touch me." She added: "If I were really nice I'd let one of my sons go. But they know better than to ask me."
Meanwhile, despite being offered two tickets, Jim Norman, a Hillsborough County commissioner and Tampa Sports Authority board member, said he's staying behind to throw a party for people who assisted on his recent election campaign. "I made a commitment to a lot of campaign workers," Norman said. What's on the menu? "It's a choice between medium, and hot, wings."
