My Hairy Brother has something to say about this Super Bowl.
In their latest parody song, Sweet Home San Diego, San Francisco brothers Paul and Steve Zinn take their shots at Jon Gruden, Warren Sapp, Keyshawn Johnson and the rest of the Bucs.
The song, sung to the tune of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Sweet Home Alabama, is available for free download from the band's Web site, www.myhairybrother.com. It is the 22nd song recorded by My Hairy Brother about the Raiders. Among the albums available for purchase are the original Rock Hard, Throw Deep (a tribute to Raider history) and the new Back Where We Belong.The lyrics to Sweet Home San Diego:
* * *
Sweet home San Diego
Where the beer is so cold
Goin' there to see my Raiders
Watch 'em win the Super Bowl
* * *
Big wheels keep on' turnin'
Carry me south to see my team
Beat the Bucs to win the big game
For 19 years it's been my dream (and we will be redeemed)
* * *
Well, I saw Jon Gruden leave for Tampa
With his fake grimaces and frowns
Well, I hope Chucky doll will remember
Raider fans don't need him around anyhow
* * *
Sweet home San Diego
Tampa's chances are so grim
Sweet home San Diego
Gonna win this one for Tim (number 81)
* * *
In Oakland town they love the Raiders (ooh ooh ooh)
Now we all know what they can do
Beat up Keyshawn 'til he cries for mom
And knock Warren Sapp out of his shoes (that tub of goo)
* * *
Sweet home San Diego
Gonna win that No. 4
Those wannabe pirates
Are gonna taste the Raider sword (here it comes)
* * *
Sweet home San Diego
We take it over once a year
That roof-shaking rumble
Is a hearty Raider cheer
* * *
Sweet home San Diego
Paint it silver and black
Sweet home San Diego
'Cause the Raiders are back (yes we are)
