Warren Sapp on finally winning the Super Bowl:
"I told (Derrick) Brooks when we left Florida that I had my Defensive Player of the Year (award) and he had his Defensive Player of the Year, now let's get something that everybody can have. We all get a replica of that Lombardi Trophy."
* * *
Michael Pittman on winning the Super Bowl in his hometown:
"It's the greatest feeling in the world. We're the World Champions. I'm at a loss for words, but it's big coming in my hometown and I had a great game. I was trying to pull off the MVP, but Dexter Jackson played a great game."
* * *
Dexter Jackson on winning the championship for Tampa Bay:
"When I first came to the team, I knew they had great players like the Sapps and Lynches and the Brookses. These guys came from nothing and came together as a championship caliber team. It was tough."
* * *
Simeon Rice on getting two sacks:
"It felt fantastic. I used my speed to get around them and I felt like I put it all on the line and I made the plays my team needed. The Raiders couldn't (move the ball) because they couldn't stand the pressure. When you can't stand the pressure, you've got to get out of the kitchen. They weren't prepared for what this defense brings. We showed (Sunday) how great our defense is and we will go down in history as one of the best of all time."
* * *
Defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin on Jackson being named MVP:
"As far as I'm concerned the whole defense could have gotten it. But I'll tell you something, our offense did an awesome job. Jon Gruden is the best. He ran that clock, threw the ball, and that (89-yard) drive was unbelievable."
* * *
Mike Alstott on winning the Super Bowl:
"I'm in shock right now. It's all coming to me at once and it's overwhelming. It feels like we won a game and still have to play next week. It feels great. We are the Super Bowl champs."
* * *
Jeff Christy on Pittman rushing for more than 100 yards:
"He did a great job for us. It felt great to get him over the 100-yard mark. Like I said all along, we have to control the line of scrimmage, and there's no doubt in my mind we did that."
* * *
Brooks on the Raiders comeback:
"We just kept telling each other to keep pounding the rock. We let them score a couple of times with the blocked kick and the long touchdown pass, but this defense just kept on bringing it and bringing it. I just want to thank God that I was able to read the quarterback and pick that pass off (for a 44-yard touchdown late in the game)."
* * *
Sapp on winning the Super Bowl after years of frustration:
"It's unbelievable. It's overwhelming that we came in here and we did it. We had a focus and we had a goal and we were going to get it done."
* * *
Christy on Brad Johnson:
"Everything that people say about him, that he shouldn't be here, or that he can't do this or do that. Well, all Brad does is make plays. Say what you want about him, but that guy makes plays."
* * *
Derrick Brooks to the people of Tampa Bay:
"This one is for Tampa Bay. We will see y'all (tonight)."
* * *
Safety John Lynch on winning:
"It's so awesome after what this franchise has been through. I came here 10 years ago, and we were the laughingstock of the league."
* * *
Tight end Ken Dilger on the team's confidence:
"I think when you have a coach like Jon Gruden who is so confident, I think the players kind of took that to heart and went into the game with that confidence."
