Attention, Fishheads: Your guys are playing tonight at Bourbon Street Concert Club.

Fishheads are what fans of the New Orleans swamp rock and rhythm and blues band, The Radiators, call themselves.

For a quarter of a century, they've trooped all over the U.S. and Europe to hear their favorite band do their 300 original songs as only they can do them, stuff like Deep in My Voodoo, Bom-Bom-Du-Dao, Crazy Mona and Untouched by Human Hands.

The Wall Street Journal once did a story on 72 Fishheads -- lawyers, accountants, bikers and restaurant servers -- who paid $2,000 apiece to literally go on tour with The Radiators in Europe in 2001, riding the charter plane and the charter bus, sleeping in the same hotel and even sharing breakfast croissants with them in London.

The group has 12 releases in circulation, six of them full-fledged studio albums. They've recorded for Sony Music and Epic Records, as well as some lesser-known labels.

High Times has called The Radiators "America's best unknown band." Rolling Stone called their music "a hypnotic blend of Southern rock -- further proof that New Orleans has some more musical history to make."

Opening for The Radiators is local favorite, The Damon Fowler Group, led by blues guitarist-singer Damon Fowler.

The group has played in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and all over Florida, but its biggest gig was a fluke. In 1999, reclusive but beloved guitarist Jeff Beck came to the then-Ice Palace (now St. Pete Times Forum). His opening act was supposed to be blues-rock guitarist Jonny Lang, but Lang got an eye infection and couldn't play.

The talent agent for Skipper's Smokehouse, where DFG often performs, suggested his client.

Fowler was a hit and has since opened for Buddy Guy, Little Feat and the legendary Bo Diddley.

Fowler was one of the first artists to perform when the Bourbon Street club opened, and has appeared there several times since then.

He also has played at Chasco Fiesta for four years.
