Snook season almost here

Snook season opens Saturday and runs until April 30 when the prized gamefish again will be off limits until Sept. 1. During the open period, it will be legal to catch and keep snook not less than 26 inches and not more than 34 inches. The limit is one per person per day.

If you're in the market for a boat, check out the Tampa Bay Boat Expo at Tropicana Field and the Vinoy Boat Basin in St. Petersburg. All kinds of boats, electronic equipment, marine accessories, nautical gifts and seminars will be available. The expo will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for children 4-12.
