Seminole leading scorer Corey Ahern has been reinstated by the Florida High School Activities Association after being suspended for a red card two weeks ago.
Warhawks coach Rich Masi appealed the ruling Monday, stating that Ahern's "incidental use of vulgar or profane language" should have been a yellow, not a red card. The FHSAA's reply stated that Ahern should be "immediately reinstated," Masi said.
"It makes a world of difference when we have him out there playing for us," Masi said.
Ahern, a senior captain who leads the team with 14 goals, will rejoin his team for tonight's Class 3A, District 12 championship game against St. Petersburg.
