BANKING

Tammy Youst has been named assistant vice president and SBA loan officer for Community Bank at its South Tampa office. Youst was vice president of business banking with Branch Banking & Trust Co., Roswell, Ga.

ELECTRONICS

Wendy Brown has been named director of public relations for Applied Media Technologies Corp., Clearwater. Brown was an associate producer and assignment editor at WTVT-Ch. 13.

HOSPITALITY

Frank Hawthorne Jr. has been promoted to sales and service coordinator for McKibbon Hotel Management Inc., Tampa. Hawthorne will be based at the Courtyard by Marriott Tampa North. Hawthorne was a front desk agent.

LEGAL

Beth Anne Cronin has been named a partner at the law firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, Tampa. Cronin was an associate.

David M. Doney has been elected to the Salvation Army Advisory Board. Doney is a shareholder at the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, Tampa.

Karen Gatto has been named senior deputy court administrator for Pinellas County's prototype Unified Family Court. Gatto was a program lawyer for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

MANUFACTURING

Jim Buell has been named senior vice president of operations for BBJ Environmental Technologies Inc., Tampa. Buell was director sales strategy and planning for JohnsonDiversey, Racine, Wis.

MARKETING

Bill Barlow has been promoted to vice president of brand management for Reliant Interactive Media Corp., Tampa. Barlow was vice president of production operations.

MEDICAL

Harbor Behavioral Health Care Institute, New Port Richey, announced the following promotions: Dr. Fay Cannon Jr. and Dr. Nieves Iglesias, to medical directors. Cannon will supervise the medical staff for the department of adult medical outpatient care, the crisis stabilization unit and the adult clinical programs. Iglesias will supervise the medical staff for the department of children medical outpatient care, the crisis stabilization unit and the children and adolescent clinical programs. Cannon and Iglesias were staff psychiatrists.

NONPROFIT

The YWCA, Clearwater, announced its executive committee for the board of directors for 2003: Dr. Pamela Y. Skyrme, president; Marilyn Johnson, vice president of operations, Alizza Punzalan, vice president of development; Mary Jean Kissner, treasurer; and Jean Higham, secretary. Skyrme is president of Skyrme & Associates Inc., Clearwater; Johnson is a paralegal with Haynsworth Baldwin et al. law firm, Tampa; Punzalan is director of development for the St. Petersburg Free Clinic; Kissner is vice president/tax manager for Raymond James Financial, St. Petersburg; and Higham is the assistant public defender for Pinellas County.

ORGANIZATIONS

AAA Auto Club South, Tampa, announced the following promotions: Amy Stracke, to director, public and government relations; and Matt Nasworthy, to project manager, public and government relations. Stracke was director of banking services; Nasworthy was dispatch team leader and assistant supervisor with emergency road service.

The Florida Society of Association Executives has announced the FSAE Foundation board of trustees: Ann Guiberson, vice president; Tere Giblin, associate director at large; Ruth Fitzgerald; and Lynn Howell. Guiberson is president of the Pinellas Suncoast Association of Realtors Inc., St. Petersburg; Giblin is a sales manager for the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Convention and Visitors Bureau, Clearwater; Ruth Fitzgerald is regional director of sales at Destinations of Meetings and Incentives, Clearwater; and Howell is assistant dean at Stetson University College of Law, St. Petersburg.

RETIREMENT COMMUNITIES

Dotty J. Bollinger has been promoted to vice president of legal affairs for Horizon Bay Management, Tampa. Bollinger was vice president of wellness.

TECHNOLOGY

Debra Curtiss has been appointed vice president and general manager for Peak 10 Inc., Tampa. Curtiss was president of Options Consulting, St. Petersburg.
